Read Micah 4:2
“…And many nations shall come…”
It seems like God’s revivals always manage to leak out beyond thier initial borders. God promised Israel that his temple would be the highest of the mountains, but then next he says, “many nations shall come and say, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.”
I dont understand how the scribes and pharisees of Jesus day missed God’s heart for the nations. You can hardly read any prophet without seeing God’s grace leaking out to the other nations. Historically nearly every revival has had within it a call to go beyond the borders into all the world. As God moves among us in revival I believe He will touch nations through those who are touched by his grace. Some who read this have no idea that God is preparing them to go literally around the world with the gospel.
I would dare to say that a revival that does not eventually leak out beyond its own borders is not yet complete. In other words if it doesn’t go beyond you, if it is not bigger than you, if it does not push you out of your comfort zone it isn’t revival. This is because revival is just a fancy word for lining up with the heart of God. Thats what revival does. It gets you in step with God and God is always stepping out of bounds. His heart is always beating for the nations. May God’s grace leak out of us into the world.
