Read Ephesians 3:19
“That you may be filled to all the fullness of God.”
One goal of knowing the love of Christ is your fullness. How amazing it is to know that this is what God desires for you right now. Take a moment and seriously ponder this one truth: God longs to fill you with all his fullness! Halleluiah!
Oh friends let us cancel our plans to be spiritually impoverished. Don’t you dare for one moment buy the religious notion that God wants less for you than his fullness! Run quickly from any teacher who wants to keep you from it so you will remain ever dependent on them. Can you not hear in Jesus words what he wants for you?
Let’s review some of his words: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied.”; “If you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”; “Ask whatever you will and it will be done for you.”; “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” Over and over our gracious Lord invites us to drink deeply of his fullness.
God has no desire to keep His children lacking. The only hindrance to the fullness of the Spirit is our will…or our won’t. Friend, today I challenge you to throw out your fears and reasoning. Put away your doctrines of deprivation and grab hold of the great heart of God with both hands and sing with Jacob the song God loves to hear; “I won’t let you go until you bless me!” This cry of desperation is music in His ears. How he longs to fill you with his presence!
Get off this computer right now and go find a secret place, if only for a few moments, to call out for more of his presence. Throw open the iron doors of your heart and allow the light of His holiness to bathe you in power. Walk in his fullness starting right now. Well, get going!
